Acquiring a low income house from CH&PA
Allocation of land is supported by direct provision of housing units by the Government and the Private Sector. CH&PA identifies portions of land within existing housing schemes for houses to be constructed.
To date, through a joint private Government initiative there are over 500 Low income houses constructed. These houses are in regions 2,3,4,5 & 6. Low income houses will be constructed in regions 9 and 10 very shortly.
Details on the low income houses constructed by CH&PA are:

* The actual size of the house is 500 sq.ft ,
* Two bedroom houses
* Electrical and plumbing facilities are provided.
Application forms for Low income houses can be uplifted from the department—free of cost.
Applicants must be interviewed first by CH&PA and will be sent to the NBS, Citizens Bank, or GBTI Bank to be pre-qualified for a loan.
Once the Bank has pre-qualified an applicant for a loan, the applicant will be notified and invited to do the following:
Pay the full cost of the land and the processing fee for Title/Transport.
Enter into an Agreement of Sale with the Central Housing and Planning Authority
Sign legal documents to process a Title/Transport.
